Everything you need to know about LockSnap security.
LockSnap Security is a comprehensive security app that automatically captures photos when someone attempts to unlock your device with an incorrect password or pattern. It helps you monitor unauthorized access attempts and provides evidence of security breaches.
When an incorrect unlock attempt is detected, LockSnap automatically captures a photo using your device's front camera. The photo is saved securely on your device and can be viewed in the app's gallery. You can configure the capture speed and quality in the settings.
LockSnap requires several permissions to function properly:
• Camera: To capture security photos
• Device Administrator: To detect unlock attempts
• Battery Optimization: To ensure the service runs reliably
• Notifications: To alert you of security events
Some features may require additional permissions like Location for certain functionality.
You can view all captured photos by opening the app and navigating to the Photos section. Photos are organized by date, and you can filter them by capture type (fast captures, manual captures, etc.). Tap on any photo to view it in full screen and access options like share, delete, or save to gallery.
Yes! LockSnap offers various customization options:
• Photo Quality: Choose between different quality levels to balance storage and image clarity
• Capture Speed: Adjust how quickly photos are captured after failed attempts
• Storage Management: Set retention periods and auto-delete old photos
Access these settings from the Settings screen.
You can manage photo storage in several ways:
• Auto-delete: Set a retention period in Settings to automatically delete photos older than a specified number of days
• Manual deletion: Select photos in the gallery and delete them individually or in bulk
• Storage cleanup: Use the cleanup feature to preview and delete old photos when changing retention settings
All deletion actions are permanent and cannot be undone.
LockSnap is fully tested and optimized for devices from Google, Motorola, Nokia, Sony, ASUS, Nothing, OnePlus, Samsung, and more.
Devices from other manufacturers may still work, but some features might have limited functionality due to system restrictions.
Absolutely. LockSnap captures and stores photos locally only.
Not at all. LockSnap only kicks in when wrong unlock attempts happen, so it barely uses any power when idle. When it does activate, it's designed to be as efficient as possible.
Your privacy is protected. LockSnap only takes photos during incorrect unlock attempts. Everything stays on your device. We don't collect or keep any of your personal information.
A factory reset will remove LockSnap entirely. That's why Premium users should enable Google Drive backup—it ensures your evidence is safely stored in the cloud even if the app gets wiped.
